Welcome to another episode! I’m David, and today, I’m going to show you how to calculate your Life Path Number. In this blog post, I’ll walk you through the process using three examples. We’ll keep it simple and straightforward so you can get started right away.
What You Need to Do
To find your Life Path Number, all you need to do is add up all the numbers in your birthday. For example, if your birthday is November 12, 1976, you write it as 11-12-1976.
Important Note
The notation in these examples is in European style (DD-MM-YYYY) and not American style (MM-DD-YYYY). But don’t worry, the method works the same way regardless.
Step-by-Step Guide
Example 1: November 12, 1976
- Write down your birth date: 11-12-1976.
- Add up each digit (omit the zeros):
1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 6 = 27
- Reduce the result to a single digit:
2 + 7 = 9
So, the Life Path Number for this birth date is 9.
Master Numbers
We continue adding the digits until we have a single digit, except for master numbers. The master numbers are 11, 22, and 33.
- Write down your birth date: 19-06-1984.
- Add up each digit:
1 + 9 + 6 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 4 = 38
- Reduce the result:
38 3 + 8 = 11
Since 11 is a master number, we don’t reduce it further. However, it’s important to note that master numbers also have their single-digit counterparts. For example, 11 also relates to 2 (1+1), 22 to 4 (2+2), and 33 to 6 (3+3).

Example 2: May 3, 1982
- Write down your birth date: 05-03-1982.
- Add up each digit:
1 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 6 = 17
- Reduce the result:
1 + 7 = 8
So, the Life Path Number for this birth date is 8.
